Kurt Steven Angle


Kurt Steven Angle is a professional wrestler and erstwhile amateur wrestler from American. He was born on the 9th of December 1968. In his family, Angle was the youngest amongst 6 children. He had four elder brothers and a sister who passed away due to congenital heart defects. Angle got into the wedlock with a lady called Karen in 1998. He has two kids with Karen, daughter Kyra and son Kody

Angle began with amateur wrestling in the late 1980s. He secured many accolades in it previously attaining an Olympic gold medal in the heavyweight freestyle wrestling class at the Summer Olympics in 1996 held in Atlanta.
In his childhood, Angle graced his presence at Mt. Lebanon High School, where Kurt earned university letters in wrestling and football. He then proceeded to attend Clarion University of Pennsylvania, from where he graduated with an academic degree in 1993. as a testimony for his graduation, he had a Clarion University Golden Eagle tattooed on his upper back

When Angle was a young boy of sixteen, his father died in a construction accident. Angle dedicated both his career and his autobiography, "It's True, It's True" to his father. After his father’s demise, he regarded his wrestling coach, David Schultz, as a paternal figure.
He was a winner of the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I championship in 1990 and 1992, the nationwide runner-up in 1991, and a 3-time NCAA Division I All-American. As an add-on to these, Angle was also the a 2-time USA Senior Freestyle champion, 1987 USA Junior Freestyle champion as well as the 1988 USA International Federation of Associated Wrestling Styles Junior World Freestyle champion. Then in 1995, he prevailed with a gold medallion at the World Wrestling Championships in Atlanta. Ensuing to this conquest, Angle began preparation for the Summer Olympics of 1996 below coach and father figure Dave Schultz at the Pennsylvanian Foxcatcher Club. Later in January of 1996, shortly following Angle’s work out at the Foxcatcher club, Schultz had been assassinated. Nevertheless, Angle still won the gold medal in the 90-100 kg heavyweight segment by overcoming Abbas Jadidi hailing from Iran by decision bearing in mind the candidates grappled to a one a piece draw that lasted for eight minutes.

Angle is also infamous for his involvement in numerous grueling street fights. He is also well known for the inspirational wrestling matches during his tenure at WWE; and despite grave back injuries he endured en route he continued his vocation in the WWE till 2006 earning a lot of respect amongst his fans and other wrestlers alike.

Conversely, he was granted an early release from his WWE contract due to "personal issues". A few weeks later, Angle signed with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) where he works currently.

Recently, Kurt Angle has also been charged of consuming steroids in the months leading up to the Olympic Gold Medal match; an accusation he flatly denies. Angle intends to pursue an acting career after retirement from professional wrestling.
