Eduardo Pamplona

The talented Eduardo Pamplona is a Thai boxer from Sao Paulo, Brazil. He specializes in “Muay Thai” also known as “Thai Boxing”. This is a form of a martial art technique, which involves usage of kicks and punches. The eight Limbs, that is the hands, shins, elbows and knees are used extensively here and this art is practiced in many South Asian countries.

This Muay thai boxer was born on 20th February, 1973. He currently weighs 196lbs (86kg) and is 5’11 tall. He has a winning record of 5 continuous matches with 2 looses and 0 draws.

It was in 2002, when Pamplona first started his career at the “Pancrase-spirit” against “Sanae Kikuta”, which he lost. Soon after that he made an entry in 2005 at “Shooto- Brazil 6”. Here he won against Carlinhos Lima and from then on, right up to his 6th fight at the “Show Fight 5” he has been a constant winner.

Eduardo has made his mark in Brazil but outside Brazil no one really knew him. This was because he never fought outside Brazil. His experience as a boxer was limited when it came to being “Global”. Appearing in Japan’s Shooto organization also, did not benefit him much, as this was his debut match and a match that he lost. Thus, all the Boxing stars that rein in America, where all the money and fame lies, were not so aware of him.

This was not until Eduardo made his appearance in USA by accepting the biggest opportunity, which came to him in the name of the super fight at the “IFL Atlanta” on February 23rd. This was a fight against Robbie Lawler. Eduardo lost this game, however he won a lot of fame and publicity from boxing fans in Atlanta. This game gave him a wonderful plethora to further enhance his career graph.

For his international appearance he underwent a strict training with the New York Pitbulls Gracie’s Academy in Manhattan. He was here trying to sharpen his already engraved Muay Thai skills with additional submission skills.

Pamlona is always very proud of the fact that he is a “Muay Thai Fighter”. He makes this skill his greatest weapon. He wants to be always known as a Muay Thai Fighter for the rest of his life. Like he says ““I’m just concentrating on doing the best I can right now,” he surely has just started building his career with only 7 matches in hand. He has a whole lot of opportunities ahead oh him.

All in all he’s a blend of aggressiveness, confidence and strength and is one of the best up-and-coming fighters that Brazil has to offer.
