Dokonjonosuke Mishima

Dokonjonosuke Mishima was born in 1972. He is a Japanese mixed martial arts fighter and has been professional fighter since 1998. Dokonjonosuke Mishima has competed in organizations such as Shooto, DEEP and PRIDE.  Recently, he has also contended in the UFC.

Reputed for his charming personality, Dokonjonosuke Mishima believes in providing entertainment along with competition. His typical entrance in the fighting arena involves displaying bizarre fashion. For his debut at UFC, he exhibited a bathrobe and the mask of a devil, holding a stuffed Snoopy toy.

On December 14, 2002, Dokonjonosuke Mishima challenged Takanori Gomi for the Shooto Welterweight Championship. However, Takanori defeated Dokonjonosuke due to punches in a technical knockout.

Dokonjonosuke Mishima has fought four fights in PRIDE; winning two fights and losing two. He defeated Charles Bennett and Marcus Aurelio, and lost to Yves Edwards and Ralph Gracie.

Dokonjonosuke Mishima made his debut appearance in the U.S. at UFC 65 on September 25, 2006. Dokonjonosuke was defeated by Joe Stevenson, the winner of The Ultimate Fighter 2, by a guillotine choke. Dokonjonosuke Mishima lost in the very first round of the fight.

On April 5, 2007, Dokonjonosuke Mishima fought with Kenny Florian at UFC Fight Night 9 in Las Vegas. Mishima tried to submit Florian with a knee bar. However, Dokonjonosuke Mishima lsot the fight due to a rear naked choke.
