Akihiro Gono

Akihiro Gono was born on October 7 1974. Akihiro has trained in Mixed Martial Arts since 1994 and has great pro record of 27-12-7. Gono has a height 5.10 and weight 183 lbs. These were in the year 1996. This was a remarkable year for him. In 1997, at Shooto 1, he defeated Masato Fujiwara in round 4. In the same year Akihiro Gono won against Nagano at Daidojuku Wars 4. In 1998, at Shooto, he won against Matt Rocca and Adriano Dsouza. In the year 2000, at Shooto Championships, Akihiro Gono defeated Andy Wang, Masanori Suda and Evan Salaverry. In the year 2001, he won matches of Pancrease against Yamamiya and Watanabe. Again in 2002, at Pancrease championship, he won against Yamamiya and Kubota. 2003 to 2006 was a superb period for him. Akihiro Gono defeated many pioneer fighters in this year in Pancrease and Pride championship.
